“We both grew up in farming families, with four and five generations of Western New York farmers before us.
“A farmer is a very independent person who wants to accomplish something, to see if he or she can grow the best crop they can grow, to watch something you have started and take it all the way through to the end. We like being our own bosses and working outdoors.
“Farming is its own way of life, a totally different way of life than going into the city and working for someone else. It’s about the independence and the goal of seeing if you can make it all the way. That drive and that passion is what it is all about.”
